In the uncontested race for the three spots available on the Deptford Township Council in the 2019 election, incumbents Paul Medany and Tom Hufnell, along with newcomer Mackenzie Belling, were elected.
According to unofficial results provided by the Gloucester County Board of Elections at the time of print, Medany received 32.13 percent of the vote, Hufnell received 32.47 percent and Belling received 31.90 percent. Only 3.5 percent of the vote went to write-in candidates, as no Democrats or Republicans ran in the election.
For the three seats available for Deptford Township School District Board of Education, the leaders currently stand as Carol Gioia with 24.63 percent of the vote, incumbent Ed Kalinowski with 20.48 percent and Ruth Logue with 20.42 percent.
For the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, incumbent Democrats Frank DiMarco and Dan Christy were both reelected.
Additionally, for the State General Assembly 5th Legislative District, incumbent Democrat William Spearman and William Moen were elected. Spearman received 28.7 of the vote, while Moen received 28.31.
Lastly, 71.93 percent of voters in Gloucester County voted “yes” for the statewide public question. The question asked voters whether New Jersey should extend property tax deductions to military veterans who live in continuing care retirement communities.
