- Units responded to a tree across the roadway on Berkley Road. The fire department responded to remove the tree. Units also responded to a crash at the same location for a vehicle that struck the tree before police could arrive.
- Officers took a report for a burglary to a vehicle in Wenonah where someone entered an unlocked vehicle overnight.
- Patrols responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Rite Aid store on Route 45.
- Units responded to another vehicle burglary in Wenonah in which loose change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
- Units responded to Verizon fiberoptic wires that came down in the roadway at the intersection of Glassboro Road and Mantua Boulevard. Verizon responded and spent at least 12 hours repairing the damage.
- Officers investigated a hit-and-run crash at the Target store in which a parked vehicle was struck. Surveillance video was able to capture the subject vehicle and charges were signed.
- Units responded to the Planet Fitness for a report of cash that was stolen from a purse.
- Patrols responded to a report of juveniles trespassing in an abandoned residence. They were gone prior to our arrival.
- Officers investigated a fireworks complaint in Wenonah and advised the residents to stop.
- Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in which a vehicle struck a pole on Mantua Boulevard and needed to be towed.
August 9
- Units responded to a violation of a restraining order and charged the subject with the violation.
- Officers responded to an overdose in which a male overdosed intentionally attempting to harm himself.
- Officers took a report for credit card fraud in which the victim had fraudulent charges from North Jersey.
- Officers took a report of harassment in which one subject was receiving threatening text messages.
- Patrols responded to a single-vehicle crash in which a vehicle struck a deer on Main Street by the park.
August 10
- Officers conducted their monthly child car seat safety event at the Mantua Fire Headquarters in which anyone can stop in during the event to make sure their child seat is installed correctly and safely.
- Units supervised community service workers who cleaned up litter along the roadway.
- Patrols responded to a harassment complaint in which both parties were on scene. The male was arrested for active warrants and processed and released.
- Officers responded to a domestic disturbance between a mother and her adult son. The son was arrested for criminal mischief and transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
- Units took a fraud complaint in which the victim’s Uber account was accessed and his credit card info was used on multiple Uber trips.
August 11
- The traffic light at Bridgeton Pike and Main Street went out and officers responded to help control the intersection until it was repaired.
- Units took a report of a domestic incident between a husband and wife that had occurred at the wife’s place of business.
- Patrols responded along with the fire department for mulch that was smoldering in the Rite Aid on Glassboro Road.
- Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned up litter in the township.
- Units responded to a domestic disturbance in which the female set the male’s clothes on fire in the front yard.
- Ptl. Layton conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant. They were turned over to the county jail.
- Ptl. Oldrati conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested two occupants for outstanding warrants. They were both processed and released.
- Officers responded to a noise complaint around midnight for a subject talking on his vehicle’s Bluetooth too loudly.
August 12
- Officers responded to a fireworks complaint in Wenonah after 1 a.m. Officers were able to locate the people that were responsible.
- Units responded to a domestic disturbance between a former couple in which the male broke a window, attempted to gain entry and fled on foot prior to police arrival. Ptl. Donovan and his K-9 partner, Boomer, attempted to track him. Complaints are pending.
- Officers received a wallet that was found in Chestnut Branch Park.
- Patrols responded, along with the fire department, for a report of wires down in the 700 Block of Main Street.
- Ptl. Mroz and his K-9 partner, Zuke, responded to assist Woodbury Police with attempting to locate a missing 3-year-old who reportedly wandered from the house. The child was located inside the house sleeping.
- Officers took a report for a harassment in which an ex-spouse was posting inappropriate posts on social media about the other.
- Patrols responded to the Telford Inn for a male that was intoxicated but wanted to drive home.
August 13
- Units assisted a male who was walking home at 3 a.m. and transported him to his residence.
- Patrols took a report for a hit-and-run crash in which a parked vehicle was struck sometime overnight.
- Officers took a theft report for a contractor who was given a deposit, but failed to do any work.
- Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road by Mantua Boulevard.
- Officers served a restraining order and stood by until they removed their belongings from the apartment.
- Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in their vehicle while at their house.
August 14
- Officers responded to a street sign that was knocked down in Centre City. Public Works was made aware to rectify.
- Officers took a report for credit card fraud in which it was reported to be over $6,000 in fraudulent charges.
- Units responded to a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot of the Target store in which a parked car was struck.
- Patrols took a theft report in which it was reported that cameras were stolen from a residence.
