Marlton lawyer publishes article in American Bar Association publication

Partner Michelle Altieri of Marlton-based Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian, P.A.  has published an article entitled “Who Gets What” in the summer 2019 issue of the American Bar Association “Family Advocate.” In this feature, she provides a comprehensive overview of the various issues surrounding the division of assets and property in cases of divorce.

Written as an easy-to-follow Q&A, the article addresses the most frequently asked questions posed by divorce clients. “Who gets the jewels?” and “Can I get half of my spouse’s bonus?” are just two of the more than 20 questions Altieri answers on the subject to provide guidance to people who are or may be divorcing.

“Family Advocate” is published by the family law section of the American Bar Association and a source for family law-related issues, procedures, state trends and federal mandates. The quarterly publication reaches more than 8,000 members of the ABA family law section worldwide and provides relevant content within the area of marital and family law.

Altieri concentrates her practice in divorce and family law and has focused in this area for nearly 20 years. Her client representation involves diverse issues, including divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence and adoption. She is experienced with all phases of divorce litigation and settlement negotiations, mediations and arbitrations. Altieri is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and its Family Law Executive Committee, and was most recently named to the Camden County Bar Association Board of Trustees. She is also a master in the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inns of Court and serves as the programming co-chair as well as a matrimonial early settlement panelist in Burlington and Gloucester counties.
