Trinity Rehab, an all-inclusive physical therapy and rehabilitation center providing comprehensive treatment for patients of all ages, walks of life and fitness levels, recently announced the hiring of Cherry Hill resident, Kenneth Field, as director of physical therapy at its Marlton facility. A skilled and licensed clinician with more than 11 years’ experience in the rehabilitation of outpatient musculoskeletal injuries, Field will be responsible for all patient care plus take part in business development and educational outreach efforts throughout the community.
Field joins Trinity Rehab after several years as the outpatient physical therapy director at The CARE Center of South Jersey in Atlantic City and lead outpatient physical therapist at Advanced Physical Therapy and Chiropractic in Atco. In his varied positions, he treated a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries including acute and chronic sport-related, work-related, slip and fall related, and motor vehicle accident-related injuries. Field has also worked extensively with patients who have suffered stroke, traumatic brain trauma, spinal cord trauma, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and various vestibular motor disorders.
“I am a firm believer in custom tailoring every patient’s rehabilitation protocol based on his/her very specific needs and to treat one with the same compassion as if they were family,” said Field, who views optimal human health and function as a person’s whole system and not simply as a diagnosed segment. He went on to add, “For me to be most effective, I feel it’s my responsibility to stay updated on the most current application of scientific principles, so continued training and education is a must.”
A graduate of West Chester University in West Chester, Pa., Field received a Bachelor of Science in athletic training and continued on to earn his Master of Science in physical therapy from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. In his spare time, Field enjoys being physically active with golf, daily weight and cardiovascular training, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. He also takes time to relax with family, a good book and playtime with his golden retriever pup, Charlie.
“Ken is a great fit with us at Trinity Rehab as we believe that every ‘body’ is unique and each person has a different cause for their symptoms even if the diagnosis is the same,” says Trinity Rehab chief operating officer, Dr. Melissa de la Cruz. “In addition to being well-versed in our state-of-the-art technology, he believes strongly in a teamwork-based, tailor-fit treatment plan designed to provide patient-centric treatments. By having patients play an active role in rehabilitation, we are able to achieve the best possible success and long-lasting results.”
