Farm-fresh food and fun is on the way to Marlton with The Marlton Farmers Market.
The Marlton Farmers Market will open on June 12 and operate on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month through Sept. 25.
For each week of operation, the Marlton Farmers Market will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. and will be held in the parking lot of the Marlton Greene Shopping Center, located at Main Street and Route 73.
The market will offer locally sourced products that are fresh and nutritious for the residents of Evesham Township and surrounding communities.
Products will include fruit, vegetables, meats, baked goods, flowers, honey and more, without the need for products to travel long distances and without large corporate “middlemen.”
The Marlton Farmers Market will also promote sustainability and allow local farmers and producers of sustainable products to connect directly with their customers and build lasting relationships.
In addition, the market can serve as an incubator for small-scale, local entrepreneurs – especially those in the food sector.
With the market located within walking distance of Evesham Township’s Main Street and North Maple Avenue, the market will also enhance the township’s adjacent business district and serve as a civic amenity.
The Marlton Farmers Market will also feature additional local businesses, community groups and live music, all while serving as a gathering place to reinforce a sense of community in Evesham Township.
Residents are invited to attend the grand opening of the market on June 12 to meet their neighbors and enjoy local food and entertainment.
