Joanne M. Hale of Medford was among 29 students who received a Bachelor of Science degree at Park University’s Moody Air Force Base Campus in Georgia. She majored in Social Psychology.
Sarah Krsnak of Medford was one of over 70 students who performed in “Masters Choreographers” at Muhlenberg College. The Muhlenberg College dance program showcased seven world-premiere works by seven world-class choreographers.
In research:
Wilkes University mechanical engineering student Nicholas Bidwell of Medford presented a senior project in the College of Science and Engineering. Bidwell’s project was entitled, “Buddy Cart.” The students created a personal assistance cart. Bidwell worked with faculty advisor Yong Zhu, assistant professor of mechanical engineering.
Reagan Windl of Medford presented at Bloomsburg University COST Research Day. Students from the Bloomsburg University College of Science and Technology (COST) presented their research to an audience of students, faculty and alumni on April 26. She presented a research project called “A Quality Improvement Intervention to Assess Eat, Sleep, Console: A Novel Care Tool in the Evaluation of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.”

Lasell College senior field hockey player Cailin Flannery of Medford was named one of Lasell’s Athletes of the Year. She led the GNAC-Field Hockey Selection this year in scoring, with 21 goals and 51 points, both of which are all-time records for Lasell. She ranked 26th nationally in goals/game, and 21st in points/game. Her 21 goals this year broke the school record of 20 set in 2008 and she leaves Lasell as the all-time leading scorer with 66 goals, 45 assist and 177 points.
Gettysburg College track and field team freshman Georgia Larzelere of Medford competed at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet Monday. Larzelere competed in a pair of running events for the Bullets. In her first career attempt in the 400-meter dash, Larzelere claimed second in her heat and registered 33rd overall with a time of 1:04.10. Out of 54 athletes in the 800-meter run, she placed 21st, crossing the finish line in 2:21.03.

Madison Heaton of Medford among students inducted into the National Jesuit Honor Society at the University of Scranton. Heaton is a junior pursuing a occupational therapy degree at the Jesuit university.
