South Jersey Ballet Theatre Artistic Director Andrea Duffin Conway is thrilled to announce the company’s spring 2019 production of “Swan Lake,” a full length classical ballet in four acts, set to the music of Tchaikovsky and featuring exceptional performances by children of all ages.

“Swan Lake is one of the world’s most beloved classical ballets,” Duffin said.  “Few young dancers have an opportunity to experience its magic and exquisiteness first-hand, and being part of this debut production has added a level of excitement that is felt throughout the cast.”

A ballet for audiences of all ages, Swan Lake comes to life with lavish costumes and scenery, adding to a timeless showpiece filled with magic and romance.  With enchanting music by Tchaikovsky and breathtaking performances by members of South Jersey’s premiere ballet company, Swan Lake is a pure delight. This year’s production will feature South Jersey Ballet Theatre’s graduating high school seniors:  Kasey Hogeboom (Moorestown High School) in the dual role of Odette/Odile, along with Caraline Christie (Cherokee High School), Brynn Fletcher (Cherry Hill High School West), Brie Leftwich (Cherry Hill High School West) and Grace Uray (Shawnee High School).

Swan Lake will debut Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. with additional performances Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. and a special Mother’s Day performance on Sunday, May 12 at 2:30 p.m. Girl Scouts and other student groups will have an opportunity to meet the company after the Friday and Saturday 4:30 p.m. shows at a special ticket rate.  All performances will take place at Voorhees Middle School on Holly Oak Drive in Voorhees. Tickets will be available at the Theatre Box Office or visit www.southjerseyballet.com for more information.

South Jersey Ballet Theatre is a 501(c)3 not for profit educational organization which provides dancers ages 5 through 18 from throughout South Jersey an opportunity to participate in a full-length ballet production.
