Free exchange will coincide with the township’s Cleanup Day on April 13.
Residents of Burlington Township are invited to a Free Exchange event at the east/west soccer field at the Green Acres Park on Old York Road on Cleanup Day, April 13.
Residents can bring items of value they no longer use and want to give away, rummage through the items brought by others and take what they want for free. The event is like a community garage sale, except all of the items are free. The primary goal of the event is to repurpose unused items that might otherwise be thrown away.
Residents can drop off items they want to give away at the soccer field before the post cleanup celebration scheduled for 12 p.m. Volunteers from the Burlington Township Green Team will be present to receive the items.
Residents can return to the soccer field at the conclusion of the celebration to rummage through the items and take what they want for free. Items of value remaining at the end of the event will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Items to bring:
- Toys, games, musical instruments and bicycles
- Exercise, sports and camping equipment
- Furniture (small items that a child can carry)
- Household and kitchen items
- Costume jewelry
- Books, records, CDs and DVDs
- Shoes and boots
