Celebrate the American Library Association’s International Games Week at the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library in Washington Township with events through Monday, Nov. 6.
The library will be holding events celebrating board, card, puzzle, computer and video games all week. In addition, the library’s Pokemon GO gym will be accepting challengers, the large collection of books about games and gaming will await you, and the Minecraft server will allow you to explore the realm of Hyrule.
Teens and tweens ages 11 to 18 will enjoy “Retro Game Night @ the Library” on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m., Heggan Library cardholders of all ages can join us for “The Heggan Library Plays Pokemon.” There will be lots of organized chaos when you work together to play Pokemon Sapphire.
The library will finish off the week with an “International Games Week Finale Free for All.” The event will begin at 3 p.m. with a “Super Smash Brothers Free for All.” Test your knowledge of games and gaming at 5 p.m. during “Gamer Trivia.” The night will end Games Week with a “Five Nights at Freddy’s 20/20/20/20/20/20/20/20/20/20 Mode Challenge” at 6:30 p.m.
