Love is in the lunchtime air

WTHS Orchestra students serenaded classmates and staff with love songs for Valentine’s Day

Washington Township High School students recorded the Valentine music-gram that was personally delivered to their lunch table by members of the school’s orchestra, from left, Grace Febrin, David Grosmick and Matt Venuti.

Love was in the lunchtime air at Washington Township High School as members of the school’s orchestra serenaded classmates and staff members with personalized Valentine wishes.

WTHS senior Hiram Rabell-Ramos reads his Valentine message and readies for his private performance of Alicia Keys’ hit song “No One” by members of the WTHS Orchestra, from left, David Grosmick, Grace Febrin, Marissa LaSalle, Andrea Eleazar, Aaron LeVan and Matt Venuti.

As part of their Music-Gram fundraiser, orchestra students surprised recipients with a rendition of one of four songs: “L.O.V.E.” by Nat King Cole, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley, “No One” by Alicia Keys, and “Brand New” by Ben Rector; their own private love fest.

WTHS junior Michelle Le was the recipient of a music-gram and valentine candy.

They also gifted each with a bag of Valentine candy and a message from their admirer. All monies raised benefited the WTHS Orchestra Scholarship Fund.
