Carnations spread love, friendship across Washington Township High School

Members of the high school’s Student in Action Club delivered dozens of flowers this Valentine’s Day

WTHS freshmen Taylor Layser and Zoe Brooks and senior Alexis Wright delivered carnations and Valentine sentiments to their classmates as part of a Students in Action Valentine’s Day fundraiser.

Members of Washington Township High School’s Students in Action Club fanned out over the school delivering dozens of carnations to their classmates, teachers and staff members in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

On the left, WTHS junior Kayla MacKinnon spreads Valentine cheer. On the right, senior Lyndsey Ferraino was the recipient of two carnation bouquets — one white and one red.

The flowers, in shades of pink (secret admirer), white (friendship) and red (love), brought smiles to the faces of all of the recipients.
