In this week’s Voorhees Sun

In this week’s print edition of The Sun:

• Off for a Mongolian adventure: Jersey Boys set to tackle the grueling, 10,000-mile Mongol Rally.

• Property tax bills delayed due to state lag: Thanks to a delay from the state, residents won’t be seeing their property tax bills appear in their mailboxes at the normal time this year. No, the township hasn’t forgotten to mail them out or decided to not collect any in property taxes this year. The bills will be delayed because the state took so long in approving its own 2010 fiscal year budget. Because of the delay, Voorhees couldn’t estimate its own tax levy.

• The Legends of Rock highlight annual Summer Twilight Series (Mayor’s Message): Once again, summertime offers the opportunity to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The Voorhees Township Committee is pleased to welcome the summer of 2009 with our annual “Summer Twilight Series,” with five events scheduled for the “Great Lawn” at Connolly Park.
