The Voorhees Township Public Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2010–11 school year in March.
Any child who will turn five years of age on or before October 1, 2010 is eligible for kindergarten admission in September 2010. 1st grade registration will also take place for children coming from private kindergartens for September 2009. Please note specific dates and times.
Registration for September kindergarten will be held on the following days at the district’s four elementary schools; E. T. Hamilton, Kresson, Osage and Signal Hill:
• March 3 for last names beginning with letters A-L (Kindergarten Only).
• March 17 for last names beginning with letters M-Z (Kindergarten Only).
• March 24 and March 31 for make-up registration and 1st Grade Registration.
Each registration will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. If these times conflict with parents’ schedules, they should contact the school to make other arrangements. Registration packets may be picked up in the school offices prior to registering.
At registration, the parent or guardian must present the child’s birth certificate, immunization record and three proofs of Voorhees residence. Types of documents eligible for use to verify your residency are available on the district website.
