The Pink Panthers Breast Cancer Team, comprised of 10 Eastern High School students, has been fundraising and participating in the Susan G. Komen Foundation Breast Cancer Walk since fifth grade.
The group has raised thousands of dollars for the cure.
Recently, the Pink Panthers Breast Cancer Team won the Bernie Ashner Award for the High School category for the 2013 Susan G. Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure. The group was honored at the 2013 Race for the cure Pink Carpet Party at the Sugar House Casino.
The Pink Panthers Breast Cancer Team would like to thank the following Voorhees businesses for helping to raise money: Passariello’s on Laurel Road, Smoothie King on Hadd-Ber Rd, TJ’s Pizzeria in Burnt Mill Plaza, Wine World Outlet on Hadd-Ber Rd, Roger Wilco’s in Eagle’s Plaza, Philly Pretzel Factory on White Horse Road, Linda at Hello Gorgeous, Tranquility Spa in Berlin and Zallie’s Berlin Shop Rite Manager John Perowich.
