Voorhees Township is fortunate to have one of the finest police departments in New Jersey. It works hard to keep our community safe and allow our families to sleep peacefully at night.
In addition to their service while on duty, our police are active in serving our community while off duty. For more than a decade, they have sponsored a Holiday Fund Drive to help bring smiles to the faces of deserving local families. This year is no exception.
Three deserving area families were chosen to benefit from this wonderful cause. The police will provide the family with toys, clothes, food and gift cards. Volunteers raise the money, then do all the shopping and wrapping. The presents are delivered by Santa Claus escorted by our police and fire trucks.

During this holiday season, it is always more rewarding to give than to receive!
• The Lions Club will host “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Lions Lake Park Banquet Facility, 101 Dutchtown Road in Voorhees. • Santa Claus has arrived at the Voorhees Town Center! He will be available for photographs Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pet photos with Santa are available from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 8 and 15.
