Camden County Clerk Joseph Ripa is offering a new service that will allow Camden County residents to search their property records online for free.
“You can now view deeds, mortgages and other documents filed in the clerk’s office on the Camden County website.” Ripa said. “You can perform simple searches from your home computer by following the link on the clerk’s page.”
The Office of the County Clerk maintains the records of all property transactions in Camden County. Deeds and mortgages are filed in the Clerk’s Office, along with discharges, liens and easements.
“Documents dating back to 1978 are now available to view online,” Ripa said. “Although the online copies of the documents cannot be used for legal purposes, they are a valuable resource for Camden County residents seeking their property information.”
Official copies of documents can still be obtained from the Office of the County Clerk in Camden for a fee. In the online version of the record, any information that does not need to appear in the document, such as social security numbers or bank account information, has been redacted to protect residents.
The online database is updated nightly and can be used to track the status of documents submitted for recording.
