The 3rd Annual Tabernacle Community Tree Lighting will take place on Friday, Dec. 2 on the grounds of the Town Hall. This event is sponsored by the Recreation Committee in conjunction with several community organizations. The Festivities will begin at 7 p.m. and will include musical entertainment, a holiday craft for kids, the lighting of the Town Tree and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. A refreshment tent will provide free refreshments throughout the evening.
New this year will be an improved sound system and a mailbox for letters to Santa. Children are encouraged to bring their letters, no postage required, to the special red mailbox inside Town Hall. The mailbox will be placed inside the building from Dec. 1 through Dec. 23 during regular business hours.
