Four Jefferson Health associates based in New Jersey received scholarships
Four Jefferson Health associates based in New Jersey were recently honored as recipients of the annual nursing scholarships, presented at Camden County College in Blackwood. Each year, Jefferson Health’s New Jersey department of nursing offers various nursing scholarships.
The entry level BSN scholarship, open to all associates (clinical and non-clinical) aspiring to earn a bachelor’s of science nursing degree (BSN), two RN to BSN scholarships (the Gartzman fund and the Shah family scholarships), both open to Jefferson Health RNs in NJ aspiring to earn a BSN degree, and the leadership scholarship, open to current BSN- and MSN-level nurses aspiring to an MSN or doctorate in nursing degree.
This year’s recipients are as follows: Kimberly Mellon of Sicklerville, dialysis center patient care technician (entry level BSN scholarship), Lisa Krause of Tabernacle, supplemental staffing specialty care transport RN (Gartzman fund RN to BSN scholarship), Jeffrey Vierneza of Sewell, surgical ICU nurse at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital (Shah family RN to BSN scholarship); and leadership scholarship winner Melissa Sweeney of Williamstown, proficient registered nurse at Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital.
