The Tabernacle Athletic Association Baseball program is currently accepting applications for its sixth annual Sean Clegg Memorial College Scholarship Fund.
Supported by a $500 matching gift from Foley Mechanical, TAA Baseball provides an annual $1,000 college scholarship award to a participant whomeets all eligibility criteria and best exemplifies the memory of former TAA Baseball player Sean Clegg who was tragically killed while riding his bike in 2008. His parents, Andy and Gail, courageously decided to donate Sean’s organs to help others in need. All six donor recipients received successful organ transplants, including a young woman who became the first person to give birth to twins after a heart transplant.
Applications will be accepted until March 15. Members of the Clegg family will join program officials in presenting the winner with scholarship award during TAA Baseball‘s Opening Day Ceremonies at Patty Bowker fields in early April.
