Gloucester Township announces 2017 municipal budget

Gloucester Township residents will not see a repeat of last year’s 12 percent tax hike. The council unanimously approved its budget for $59,389,202.90, which did not increase from the previous year.Fluctuation of taxes has become somewhat of a pattern in the township in recent years. Gloucester Township Republican Chairman Ray Polidoro mentioned a 26 percent increase in 2010, followed by a year that saw no increase.

Tim Witcher, ‘Chopped’ winner, spices up Camden County Technical School

Tim Witcher isn’t one who takes a loss sitting down. The Sicklerville culinary teacher made it all the way to the final two contestants in a 2015 episode of Chopped, but just missed out on the win. Since then, he’s used his competitive spirit to both better himself and his culinary students in their competitions.

Gloucester Township Field of Dreams opened on Saturday

On Saturday, April 23, the field celebrated its long-coming grand opening. The field enables children and adults with special needs to develop socialization skills and have fun by playing baseball at a field specifically designed for them.

Every child and adult, no matter his or her level of baseball talent can participate in the Gloucester Township Field of Dreams. The Gloucester Township Field of Dreams is made up of two divisions of varying ability and age.
