Fire damages three unoccupied townhomes in Gloucester Township

The early-morning fire unfolded on Iran Gate Road today.

The following report is from the Gloucester Township Police Department:

On Tuesday, June 26, at approximately 2:52 a.m., a security guard working in the Iron Gate development contacted the Gloucester Township Police Department to report flames coming from the rear of several townhomes on Iron Gate Road in Gloucester Township located at Jarvis and Williamstown Roads.

Three adjoining unoccupied townhomes were damaged. No injuries reported at this time.

Fire departments from Gloucester Township districts 83, 84, 85 and 86, along with Pine Hill and Winslow Township, responded to the scene.

The fire was deemed suspicious at this time and is being investigated by the Camden County and local fire marshals, the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Camden County Prosecutors Office.
