Final unofficial election results in for Gloucester Township

Although Gloucester Township Council did not hold an election, new faces were elected to the Board of Edcuation

In the 2018 election, residents of Gloucester Township did not vote for members of Gloucester Township Council. However, Winslow Township did have four elections for openings in the four wards.

All four wards featured Democrats running unopposed, with all receiving more than 97 percent of the vote in their election. In Ward 1, Robert Stimelski received 97.70 percent of the vote. In Ward 2, Carlos Vascos received 98.76 percent of the vote. In Ward 3, Raymond Watkins Jr. received 99.65 percent and John Wilson received 99.23 percent of the vote in Ward 4.

For the three open seats available for Gloucester Township Board of Education, 15 candidates were listed as running in the election. The runningmates of Brian Reagan, Carolyn Grace and Anthony Marks were the three leading voted candidates, being the only three candidates to receive a double-digit percentage of the vote.

For the three open seats for the Winslow Township Board of Education, the three unofficial winners as of print are Cheryl Pitts with 29.01 percent of the vote, Gail Watkins with 28.31 percent and Abena McClendon with 23.48 percent.

Voters also voted for Camden County sheriff, with Democrat Gilbert L. “Whip” Wilson defeating Joseph Adolf, with Wilson receiving 69.46 percent of the vote.

For the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders, incumbent Democrats Jeffrey Nash, Susan Shin Angulo and William Moen were all reelected.

Additionally, for the House of Representatives First District, incumbent Democrat Donald Norcross defeated Republican challenger Paul Dilks, with Norcross receiving 67.97 percent of the vote.

Lastly, Democrat incumbent Sen. Bob Menendez defeated Republican Bob Hugin with 61.60 percent of the vote.
