Burlington Township resident making police approachable
In his role as school resource officer, Kendall has been working daily to make police approachable and form connections with Palmyra students. Kendall is the borough’s first school resource officer. A Burlington Township resident, Kendall grew up in Palmyra, and he still considers the community his home. He creates lessons tailored to dilemmas facing every school age group. Since frequenting the classrooms, Kendall said he has had students come to his office at the high school seeking his counsel, and he feels his work is serving a purpose.
Burlington Township High School baseball team getting back up after 2016’s hard hit
Burlington Township High School baseball took a hard hit last year, but they’re ready to get back on their feet. Head coach Jason Stec says the 2016 record of 3–15 does not represent who the team is.The team lost many close games last year after losing almost every starter after the 2015 season. While Stec says the 2015 team will be tough to live up to, he’s confident in this team’s ability. The team has six starters and seven lettermen returning this year. Senior Zack Evans will return as captain and is expected to be one of the team’s top players.
Hydrant flushing to begin April 3
The Burlington Township Water Division will be flushing hydrants starting Monday, April 3 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. This will continue for approximately four weeks. This start date will be pending based on weather conditions. During this period, residents may experience some discoloration of water. The discoloration is not harmful and will clear within a few hours.
