Reading enthusiasts of all ages are invited to earn prizes and enjoy special programming all summer long by participating in the Burlington County Library System’s 2015 Summer Reading Program, which will kick off at all BCLS library locations on June 22.
With a focus on heroes — from superheroes, to local heroes, to military heroes and more — this year’s Summer Reading theme is “Every Hero Has a Story” for children and “Unmask!” for teens. Young readers will be encouraged to keep track of whatever they read to earn prizes and have fun through Aug. 15. In addition, the library system will present special themed programs all summer long, including magic shows, a superhero training camp, superhero crafts, and more.
Meanwhile, adults are invited to “Escape the Ordinary” this summer by rating the books they read through Aug. 14 for a chance to win some special library prizes. In addition, adults who work in Burlington County are encouraged get together with co-workers to join the library system’s Workplace Summer Reading Program. The group that reads the most will win a free lunch.
