Pastor Tristan Shin sees the energy at Bethany Lutheran Church

31-year-old Tristan Shin never really wanted to give the ministry a shot, until a trip to Southwest Asia changed his perspective entirely. Shin, born in Korea, saw his grandfather and father both involved with the ministry which was a path he never truly considered. Now, the current Pastor at Bethany Lutheran Church in Palmyra is seeing the love and energy that his congregation has to offer to others.

“Beginning Birding” just one event that Palmyra Nature Cove has to offer

The “Beginning Birding for Adults” event at Palmyra Cove Nature Park took place on July 15. It is only one of many events that the Park offers that informs that participants about nature, ecology, and other topics. Palmyra Cove Nature Park welcomes both adults and children to take part in their weekly events.

Harry Potter Birthday Celebration at Riverton Free Library

Is your child a fan of the Harry Potter series? Bring them to the “Harry Potter Birthday Celebration” at the Riverton Free Library on July 31. This celebration will begin at 6 p.m. and is best for ages 7 to 16. Join the library for a celebration of our favorite wizard Harry’s birthday. Enjoy crafts, Do-It-Yourself’s, and activities. Also participate in or watch our real life Wizard Chess with our very own Hagrid. Families are also welcome to attend this event.

Jewelry Making -Ear Cuff workshop at Riverton Free Library

Would you like to find a cool activity for your teenage daughter? Does she enjoy jewelry or being creative? Then register her for a “Do-It-Yourself” event at the Riverton Free Library on Aug. 4. Starting at 11 a.m., join Heather Baysa for this workshop on how to create jewelry. Participants can make them as simple or as fancy as they’d like. The jewelry adds flair and personality to any ensemble from casual to formal. Come on down and give it a try. The Adult Fiction Area in the library comfortably holds 12, so make you register!
