By MELISSA DIPENTO

The Lenape Regional High School District sent a preliminary 2011–2012 budget of $143,031,192 to the County Superintendent today.

The budget represents a 3.64 percent increase from the 2010–2011 budget.

In Mt. Laurel, the tax levy includes no increase in regional school taxes on a home assessed at the township average of $142,000, LRHSD Business Administrator Jim Hager said.

A budget hearing will take place at 7:30 p.m. on March 23 at the Administration Building, 93 Willow Grove Rd., Shamong.

The election will be held on April 27.
