Released by Burlington County College
Stedman Graham, a Whitesboro native, executive, educator and motivational speaker, will be coming to Burlington County College’s (BCC) Mount Laurel campus, 500 College Circle, to present the final Leadership Success Series workshop, “Win By A Decision: Commit To Your Vision,” on Friday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Enterprise Center at BCC.
The workshop will be a follow-up to his first presentation, “The Success Process: Check Your ID.”
A new initiative at BCC, the Leadership Success Series featured guest speakers, including Graham, Secretary of Higher Education Rochelle Hendricks, motivational speaker Franklin Moore and U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Troy D. Barnes, in workshops designed to motivate students taking one or more college prep classes to achieve degree completion and to believe in their abilities to succeed. Workshops worked in conjunction with BCC’s existing academic support programs and played a role in tracking student outcomes and measuring student success.
In this final workshop, students will acknowledge their goals, plans, and honor themselves by committing to the pursuit of their vision. A question and answer session will follow immediately after the presentation.
Graham is well-known for his work with nonprofits in the areas of identity development, leadership, diversity training and personal wellness and is the author of 10 books, including two New York Times bestsellers, “You Can Make It Happen: A Nine-Step Plan for Success” and “Teens Can Make It Happen: Nine Steps to Success.”
