A trio of times to check out this live performance in Burlington.
Riverfront Community Players (RCP) is ready to groove into Burlington during its Mainstage Production of Hairspray!
Go back to 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, and follow plus-sized, teenage Tracy Turnblad, who has one dream — to dance on The Corny Collins Show. When she gets put in detention with the African-American students in the school, they teach her some of their dance moves, and her new found groove wins her a spot on Corny’s show. Overnight, Tracy transforms from a nobody into a star, and uses her newfound influence to advocate for racial integration on the television show.
Hairspray will take place on August 4 and 5, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. and August 6, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Saint Paul’s School located at 250 James Street, Burlington, NJ. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission.
