Around Burlington Township
· Looking to meet fellow United States Navy Members? Come to the Burlington County Library on Oct. 7 for a Salute to the U.S. Navy! Join the military community for a special screening of ‘Victory at Sea’, with guest speakers from the Navy including WWII veterans, followed by a performance featuring the Burlington City High School Choir. This event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. inside the Burlington County Library’s Auditorium. All members of the military community are welcome to attend and encouraged to wear their ship caps. All ages are welcome to attend. Meet representatives from American Legion Post 79 of Burlington County, and experience a display of naval memorabilia. - Join the Burlington County Library on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. for Sundays on Stage with Marc Black, recent inductee into the NY Chapter of the Blues Hall of Fame. Hear popular songs and surprising favorites like “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”, “Blue Suede Shoes”, and “Blowin’ in the Wind”. This event is hosted by the Burlington County Library System and is open to all ages! All shows begin at 2 p.m. and admission is free. Registration is not required for this event.

- Camden County International Day returns to Voorhees Township this weekend. The annual event will take place on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Eastern Regional High School, located at 1401 Laurel Oak Road. This year’s event will include more than 70 local vendors and entertainment ensembles, all of which represent regional residents from a scope of backgrounds, ranging from the Pacific Islands to Pakistan. - There will be books aplenty in Collingswood this weekend. The 15th annual Collingswood Book Festival will take place along Haddon Avenue on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be tons of authors, booksellers and storytellers at this year’s festival. - Celebrate Columbus Day early in Sea Isle City on Saturday. Sea Isle City will host its Italian Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. At 2 p.m., a Columbus Day Parade will be held starting in front of the Sea Isle City Italian American Club on JFK Boulevard and continuing to the location of the festival at Kix McNutleys on 63rd Street.
