Capehart Scatchard in Mt. Laurel has named Mary Ellen Rose, as managing partner of the law firm, effective Sept. 1. She previously served the firm as the assistant managing partner last year and the hiring partner for the past 15 years. Rose has the distinction of being the only female managing partner of any of the 20 largest law firms in New Jersey.
“We have had success in hiring women in the attorney and staff ranks, many of our business and litigation clients are women, and we have elevated a woman to lead the firm going forward,” Former Managing Partner Peter Bejsiuk said. “Our firm has been in business since 1876, we have great clients and we work diligently in representing their interests in litigation, transactions, business, healthcare and workers’ compensation defense matters, among other areas of law.”
Rose, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, focuses her practice in the areas of commercial and business law, transportation and franchise law. She received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from West Virginia University and her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
