Marijuana possession and counterfeit bills top this week’s Mt. Laurel Police Report

The following reports are on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department:

On Jan. 25 at 9:03 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Marne Highway near Briggs Road. During the stop officers arrested a male age 26 of Moorestown. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

On Jan. 24 at 11:13 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a suspicious person report on Route 38 near Midlantic Drive. During the investigation officers arrested a female age 23 of Tabernacle for several outstanding criminal warrants. She was also found to possess hypodermic syringes. She was charged with possession of hypodermic syringes and committed to the Burlington County Jail.

An employee of DSW Shoes on Centerton Road reported a suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill to make a small purchase on Jan. 21. They believe the same suspect passed another $100 at their store on Jan 18.

An employee of Ulta on Nixon Drive reported a shoplifting that occurred on Jan. 21 at 3:42 p.m. Two females entered the store and stole several bottles of perfume value at over $300. They fled the store in a gold colored Pontiac.

On Jan. 21 at 2:50 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Lincoln Drive. During the stop officers arrested a male age 42 of Waterford after he provided a false name in an attempt to avoid a traffic summons. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension and released pending a court hearing.

On Jan. 19 at 11:57 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ark Road near Hovtech Boulevard. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 22, of Pennsauken. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

A briefcase was stolen from The FedEx Store, 1211 Route 73, after a customer accidentally left it the store on Jan. 19 at 5:20 p.m. The briefcase contained cash, credit cards, and personal documents.
