2016 Election Results
It was a good night for Republicans in Mt. Laurel on Election Day, as incumbents Linda Bobo and Irwin Edelson, along with newcomer Kurt Folcher, were elected to three open seats on township council. The wins by Bobo, the current mayor, Edelson and Folcher mean council will once again have a full, five-seat Republican majority.
No election stickers in Burlington County
The well-known “I Voted” stickers were not in the county’s budget this year. One of this year’s top trends among social media users includes taking photos showing off the infamous “I Voted” stickers across a variety of platforms such as Instagram and SnapChat.

Car stop by Mt. Laurel Police leads to arrests for weapons and drugs
At 11:13 p.m. on Nov. 4, a Mt. Laurel Police Officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Mill Road near Morning Glory Drive for a motor vehicle violation During the stop the officer found a loaded handgun with its serial number filed off was recovered along with a switchblade knife, prescription legend drugs, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of money.
