Lenape High School to debut spring musical ‘Annie’ on March 3

‘Annie’ follows a plucky orphan whose charm and determination has been featured before audiences for the past 40 years.

Lenape High School’s spring musical, “Annie” follows the story of a plucky orphan whose charm and determination has been featured before audiences of all ages for the past 40 years.

Despite being dropped on the doorstep of a New York orphanage, the fiery redhead is determined to find the parents who left her behind.

With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes the cruel Ms. Hannigan and finds her pal, Sandy.

Her situation changes dramatically when billionaire Olivier Warbucks decides he wants to adopt her and keep her out of the orphanage for good.

“Annie,” directed by Michael Del Rossi, will run March 3, 4, 10, and 11 at 7 p.m. and March 4 and 11 at 1 p.m. at Lenape High School.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students.
