Mt. Laurel residents ask township to investigate conditions in section of Larchmont neighborhood
A discussion began at this week’s Mt. Laurel Township Council meeting when resident George Brill spoke about what he described as the “deterioration of his neighborhood” on Chaucer Road, along with Chaucer Court and Willow Turn in Mt. Laurel’s Larchmont neighborhood. In response to Brill and anothe resident’s concerns, township manager Meredith Tomczyk said she would have the township’s zoning officer examine the locations.
Mt. Laurel Township permanently finances $25.5 million in current debt to secure better long-term interest rate
Mt. Laurel Township Council has taken steps to permanently finance about $25.5 million in debt the township has already borrowed to secure a better long-term interest rate in an attempt to save taxpayers money moving into the future. According to Mt. Laurel Township manager Meredith Tomczyk, the township’s financial advisors and bond counsel suggested the move after recently studying current and long-term market trends.

Mt. Laurel girl first place district winner in Patriot’s Pen national youth essay competition
Jamie Dunn, a Mt. Laurel resident and sixth-grade student at Our Lady of Good Counsel school in Moorestown, has been named afirst-place district winner of the Patriot’s Pen national youth essay competition. Dunn will be honored at a state awards luncheon in February and will compete with winners from 18 districts around the state for the chance to represent the state of New Jersey in the national competition.
