Letter to the Editor: Chris Chiacchio

Chiacchio says Pete Palko has shown his worth on the Moorestown Board of Education.

Back in 2014, I wrote a letter to the editor supporting Pete Palko in Moorestown’s Board of Education election. Now nearing the end of his first term, Pete has decided to seek another three years on the board. As he does, he has my wholehearted and full support.

Pete and his wife, Laurie, have lived in Moorestown for almost 15 years and have raised 3 children who have attended our public schools. During that time, Pete has worn many hats as a contributor to our community. He’s served as a commissioner for the Moorestown Youth Flag Football League and as coach for baseball and hockey and now serves as the board’s liaison to the Township Recreation Advisory Committee.

As a successful small business owner and former Vice Chair of the Moorestown Economic Development Advisory Committee, Pete has the ability to manage the complexities of the yearly budget, successfully manage staff and ensure that every tax dollar it being used for maximum benefit. Already, Pete has helped save taxpayers millions of dollars through his diligent work on the budget and finance committee, stopping our taxes from skyrocketing over the last three years. Moreover, Pete has extensive experience in environmental and construction projects, adding a particularly useful skillset as the board continues to modernize and update facilities around town.

Pete Palko has been an extraordinary part of the board over the last three years; I believe with three more, he will accomplish even more for our town and, most importantly, for our children. As I’ve said before, his commitment to Moorestown has been proven not by his words, but his actions. I hope my neighbors will join me in voting to re-elect Pete Palko this November.
