MFS students were recognized as outstanding delegates at the Rutgers Model UN Conference.
From Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, 30 delegates from the Moorestown Friends Model UN team traveled with Model UN advisor and history department chair Clark Thomson to New Brunswick for the Rutgers Model UN Conference. At the closing ceremonies, seven Upper School students were recognized for their performances.
Vika Kulchyckyj, of the Class of 2019 and Calum Boone, of the Class of 2018, were recognized as “Distinguished Delegates” in the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific addressing informal economies and sustainable urban development.
Anna Goula, of the Class of 2018, was recognized as a Distinguished Delegate in the Joint Crisis Committee: Saudi Arabian Council for Political and Security Affairs addressing the Yemeni Civil War.
Kayla Patel, Class of 2021, and Eli Gamber, of the Class of 2019, were recognized as Outstanding Delegates (earning a gavel) in the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) addressing adolescent development and educational innovations.
Jordan Brunner, of the Class of 2019, and Mariana Goldlust, of the Class of 2019, were recognized as Outstanding Delegates (earning a gavel) in the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime addressing HIV/AIDS amongst drug users and fraudulent medicines.
