At the age of 92, Marie S. McChesney (nee Stewart) passed away in the comfort of her own home with loving family by her side.
Marie S. McChesney (nee Stewart), age 92 of Moorestown, passed away in the comfort of her own home with loving family by her side on Sunday, Dec. 17.
McChesney was born in Philadelphia and had resided in Moorestown for 60 years. She was a member of Our Lady Good Counsel Church and enjoyed following the Philadelphia Phillies and playing bridge. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, and she will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Marie was predeceased by her beloved spouse, John “Jack” McChesney, Jr. She is survived by her children: John (Roxanne), Cathleen Renner (Fritz), Dennis, Maureen Moorer (Bob), Caroline Haschert (Rhys), Gerry, Michele Bancroft (John); 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to viewings on Wednesday, Dec. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday, Dec. 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals located at: 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. A mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Thursday, Dec. 21 at Our Lady Good Counsel RC Church located at 42 W. Main Street in Moorestown. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Moorestown.
