Obituary: Virginia Kintzing

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home.

Virginia Kintzing (nee Guerin) of Lumberton passed away on Feb. 13 at the age of 87. Ginny volunteered for the Perkins Center for the Arts.

Virginia was the beloved mother and mother-in-law of David and Cathy Kintzing of Mt. Holly; Donald and Magda Kintzing of Helena, Montana, Susanne (Kintzing) and Robert Mendiola of Clinton, Md. and Laurie (Kintzing) and Marc Leyerle of Helena, Ohio. She was also a devoted grandmother to Ryan (Kintzing) and Geoff Hoffman; Chelsea Kintzing, Carly Mendiola, Dominique Kintzing, Bernard Kintzing and Sydney Leyerle. She leaves behind a treasured great-granddaughter, Harper Hoffman.

In addition to being a devoted mom, Ginny was a talented artist and craftsperson who loved to knit, quilt, cross stitch and paint. She was a regular vendor for many years at local craft shows. She loved playing bridge with friends, gardening and caring for her animal companions, most recently her Great Dane, Onyx. Ginny enjoyed giving back to her community, and she was an avid volunteer for Unicorn Therapeutic Riding, the Perkins Center for the Arts and the American Red Cross. Nothing gave her more joy, however, than being surrounded by her family, sharing one of her delicious home cooked meals, as we shared family stories and memories.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home located at: 78 E. Main Street in Moorestown. Interment will be at Woodlands Cemetery in Philadelphia.

In lieu of flowers Ginny has requested memorial contributions to Perkins Center for the Arts at: 395 Kings Highway, Moorestown, New Jersey 08057 or Unicorn Therapeutic Riding, 171 Marshalls Corner-Woodsville Road, Pennington, New Jersey 08534.
