Police Report: Jan. 11 pedestrian motor crash

The following item was taken from reports on file with the Moorestown Township Police Department:

On Jan. 11 at 7:10 p.m., Moorestown Police responded to a pedestrian motor vehicle crash on Chester Avenue in front of the post office. The pedestrian, a 68-year-old Moorestown resident, was struck by a 1999 Jeep traveling south on Chester Avenue in front of the post office. The pedestrian resides two blocks from the crash site. The pedestrian was transported by the Moorestown Emergency Squad to Cooper Hospital with multiple injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, a 23-year-old Pemberton resident, was not injured. The Jeep sustained minor damage to the front grill area.

No charges have been filed. The crash is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Special Operations Unit at 914–3045.
