Last week the Moorestown Township High School’s girls junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams played their season openers. They opened with Kingsway Regional High School and both the junior varsity and varsity teams won their matches. Their second away game with Cherry Hill West had the same result with both winning again (2–0 Divisional).
Jessica Booth led the team in both matches with a total of 13 aces, seven kill shots and 13 digs. Marisa Randazzo and Anna Allende had strong play to help Moooestown with the wins. Last Saturday, Moorestown entered two teams in a tournament they hosted, in which 19 teams participated. Moorestown had a respectable showing with the Sterling Knights of Somerdale placing first. Great job girls.
