Summer events kick off at library

The Moorestown Library hosted a cookout for 150 children and adults on Friday, June 22. Jeremiah Appleton, husband of children’s librarian Jen Dunne, brought his own grill to the party, and along with his father, Jay, grilled up 80 hamburgers and 100 hotdogs for the hungry crowd.

Later, storyteller Don Dougherty entertained the audience with “A Not-So-Typical Campfire Story,” which featured all the children as characters in an exciting campout adventure.

The event kicked off the library’s summer reading program, which features reading games for all ages, weekly story times, movies, game days, crafts and more.

The cookout and all of the library’s summer events are made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Moorestown Library.
