Moorestown School of Music student graduates to the next level

Moorestown School of Music is proud to announce the Violin Book 3 graduation of Deivanayagam “Deiv” Shanmuga, a 9th grade student at Lenape High School. Deiv is a student of Ms. Jennifer Mullen, Suzuki violin teacher. The Suzuki method involves parents and teacher to nurture the students’ ability through encouragement and praise. Deiv has been studying violin at Moorestown School of Music for nearly four years. After completing Book 3, Deiv and his parents hosted a recital at the school. To commemorate his accomplishment, Deiv played the entire book from memory as well as a piece from Book 4, for an audience of friends and family, playing pieces by composers including J.S. Bach, A. Dvorak and P. Martini.

Moorestown School of Music has provided Suzuki music instruction in South Jersey since 1998. Individual and group lessons are given in Cello, Piano and Violin.
Music Together, a preschool music program for children birth through kindergarten, is offered six days a week. The school is located at 301 Union
Street in Moorestown.
