Moorestown Friends School eighth grade student, Chloe Chen, earned one of the prestigious clarinet spots in this year’s All-South Jersey Middle School Honor Band. She competed against top young clarinetists from all over the southern part of the state in a blind adjudication on Saturday, Jan. 25. Chen’s competition was particularly strong, as the clarinet division had the largest number of competitors in any instrument group this year. She also auditioned last year and earned a spot as a seventh grader. The Middle School Honor Band concert will be held in early March.
