On Wednesday, April 15 South Jersey NOW-Alice Paul Chapter is honored to have as our guest speaker Robert Turley, from Medford whowill demonstrate self-defense tips for adults.
Normally, when we hear the words “violence against women,” we think of domestic violence. But there are so many other kinds of violence that women and their families face on a daily basis. Kids and teen face potential bullies at school. Adults face potential danger every time they walk to their car in an empty parking garage, in a questionable neighborhood, at a transit station or even while shopping at the mall.
Robert Turley, founder of SmashBully, has been training and teaching marital arts for more than 30 years. At our meeting, he will demonstrate adult survival tips so participants know how to defend themselves against the most common attacks.
The program will be preceded by a discussion of chapter activities. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. and is held at the First Baptist Church located at 19 West Main Street in Moorestown. Please enter via the side door closest to municipal parking lot and Carl’s Shoe Store.
Please join us for an impactful evening that may keep you safe, or at the very least, help you feel more confident.
