Moorestown High School boys tennis wins South Jersey Group III title

The following Moorestown High School boys’ tennis score was submitted by varsity head coach William Kingston.

On May 14, MHS boys tennis team advanced to the South Jersey III Final by defeating Central Regional, 5–0.

In singles:

First singles: Marc Mounzer, of Moorestown, defeated James Bojko, 1,5.

Second singles: David Blatcher, of Moorestown, defeated Keith Rader, 1,2.

Third singles: Akshay Bhalodia, of Moorestown, defeated Brandon DiLonardo, 2,1.

In doubles:

First doubles: Adi Bulusu and Wes Bobadilla, of Moorestown, defeated Steven Leicht and O. Aung, 2,1.

Second doubles: Jon Lewis and Dylan Paul, of Moorestown, defeated Jonas Mueller and Steven Helm, 1,1.

Moorestown’s record is now 15–8. They played on Monday at MHS against Mainland in the sectional final.

On May 18, MHS varsity boys tennis squeaked by Mainland, 3–2, to win the South Jersey Group III title. Moorestown’s record is now 16–8. This SJ title was the team’s 38th group championship since 1975.

In singles:

First singles: For Mainland Ryan Pangilinan defeated Marc Mounzer, 6(2),4.

Second singles: Nik Kilibarda, of Mainland, defeated David Blatcher, 0,3.

Third singles: Akshay Bhalodia, of Moorestown, defeated Harrison Freon, 2,2.

In doubles:

First doubles: Wes Bobadilla and Adi Bulusu, of Moorestown, defeated Brandon Savith and Parth Gandhi, 4–6,3,3. Bobadilla and Bulusu won the final point.

Second doubles: Jon Lewis and Dylan Paul defeated Anthony Pangilinan and Nick Filardo, 3, 0–6, 2.

MHS boys tennis raised its record to 17–8 by defeating Burlington Township on May 19, 5–0.

In singles:

First singles: Marc Mounzer, of Moorestown, defeated Sam Ringle 6–0, 6–1, 0–0.

Second singles: David Blatcher, of Moorestown, defeated Jay Darji 6–1, 6–0, 0–0.

Third singles:Akshay Bhalodia, of Moorestown, defeated Ben Lee 6–0, 6–0, 0–0.

In doubles:

First doubles: Wes Bobadilla and Adi Bulusu, of Moorestown, defeated Rumzy Khalil and Rahul Patel 6–0, 6–0, 0–0.

Second doubles: Jon Lewis and Dylan Paul, of Moorestown, defeated Chandler Brewton and Marcus Marshall 6–0, 6–0, 0–0.
