Planning Board to host special meeting regarding master plan

The meeting will take place on Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The Moorestown Township Planning Board members received a draft of the Master Plan Reexamination Report. This draft report is being made available to the public on the township website. The Master Plan documents establish principles for the orderly and balanced economic, social, physical, environmental and fiscal development of a community.

The Reexamination Report will be presented by the Town’s consultant planner at a special Planning Board Meeting on Nov. 15 at 7:30 pm in Council Chambers. The public is encouraged to attend the presentation and provide any comment or feedback during the public comment portion of the meeting.

This past May, the Planning Board appointed a sub-committee of four board members along with Community Development Director Tony Zappasodi, Planner Judith Murphy, PP, AICP and Master Plan Professional Brian Slaugh, PP, AICP, to review the Master Plan and develop the report. The Reexamination Report analyzes the Master Plan as it exists today, documents how our community has changed since our last re-examination, and assesses current trends and development patterns.

The final report, when approved by the Planning Board, is intended to provide recommendations for the Town Council regarding how the Master Plan and related policies could or should be updated in the future.
