The following reports are on file with the Moorestown Police Department.
On Monday, May 8, a victim reported fraudulent use of his debit card at four Seven-Eleven stores in Moorestown, Cherry Hill, Mt Holly and Edison. A total of $240 was reportedly withdrawn from Moorestown.
On Tuesday, May 9, a 63-year-old woman of Voorhees was arrested and charged with Shoplifting. The suspect took a woman’s blazer valued at $119 from Boscov’s Dept Store in the Moorestown Mall. She was released on a summons.
Also on Tuesday, Sears Dept Store in the Moorestown Mall reported a past tense shoplifting. The suspect took a 40 inch LED Samsung TV valued at $399.99.
NJ Home Construction on Marne Hwy reported an employee theft. The suspect had stolen approximately $16,000 from the company over the past six months.
Also on Tuesday, a 33-year-old woman of W Main St. in Moorestown was arrested and charged with Simple Assault due to a domestic altercation. She was released on a summons.
A victim posted a couch on Craigslist for $2,000, and a suspect agreed to purchase and sent a cashier’s check to cover the purchase and the cost for the movers. The suspect then informed the victim he was not going to purchase the couch and requested his money be refunded, which the victim did. It was then learned that the account did not have the funds in it and had been frozen appearing to be a fraudulent account set up by the suspect.
On Wednesday, May 10, a victim reported their debit card was compromised. The card was used to order Domino’s Pizza online in Long Beach, CA. The victim was able to contact Dominos and the order was cancelled and victim was refunded. The cost of the order was $56.41.
On Thursday, May 11, a 24-year-old woman of Clementon was arrested and charged with Shoplifting. The suspect concealed clothing valued at $95 from Boscov’s Dept Store in the Moorestown Mall. She was committed to the Burlington County Jail on a warrant.
