Residents “Huddle” in Moorestown
After attending the Women’s March on Washington on Saturday, Jan. 21, Moorestown resident Lauren Romano, her sister Alisa Thiede and their friend Jack Fairchild sought to bring the day’s messages back home. In doing so, they have taken on the roles of organizers of several follow-up actions, with a second community “huddle” to be held on Sunday, March 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Moorestown.
100th Annual Rummage Sale
The 100th Annual Rummage Sale at the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown, located at 101 Bridgeboro Road, will be held on Wednesday, March 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, March 23 from 10 a.m. until noon.
Moorestown Fire District election results
In preparation for the year ahead, elections for Moorestown Fire Districts №1 and №2 were held on Saturday, Feb. 18. After the polls closed at 9 p.m., the unofficial results showed both districts passed their fire budgets and appointed incumbent candidates to leadership roles.
Sheriff Stanfield announces next series of classes for Youth Police Academy
Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield announced that classes will begin for her department’s Youth Police Academy on Saturday, March 11. The first session of the program will take place over the course of three consecutive Saturdays, ending on March 25 with a graduation ceremony.
Moorestown family named finalists for Au Pair Host Family of the Year
Matt and Candace found themselves seeking a new, flexible childcare provider. Ultimately, they chose to pursue hosting an au pair, and now the Amberg’s have been named as finalists for the au pair Host Family of the Year Award.
