Moorestown’s Frank Giordano to receive Legacy Award

The award recognizes an individual’s impact on the community and on the lives of those less fortunate.

The Legacy Foundation will honor Frank Giordano, president and CEO of The Philly POPS, and president and CEO of Atlantic Trailer Leasing Corporation (based in Tabernacle), with its Legacy Award on Saturady, March 25, at The Merion in Cinnaminson.

The Legacy Award, chosen by a committee of Legacy Foundation board members and volunteers, recognizes an individual’s impact on the community and on the lives of those less fortunate. Legacy CEO Roy Leitstein will present Giordano, a Moorestown resident, with the award as part of Legacy’s annual Monte Carlo Night; and 2017 will mark the fifth year The Legacy Foundation has recognized a respected community leader for their philanthropic impact.

“Frank Giordano is an individual who is dedicated to many important causes and we are thrilled to be honoring him for his long history of community service and philanthropy,” shared Roy Leitstein, CEO.

Throughout Giordano’s career, supporting the community has been of paramount importance. In addition to bringing unprecedented success to The Philly POPS, Giordano created the Philly POPS Salute Series– concerts held on American holidays that recognize service and sacrifice — that grew it into a robust year-round program that reaches 50,000 people annually with free, patriotic shows.

He has made a tremendous impact through his leadership and personal philanthropy in iconic Philadelphia-area and New Jersey institutions. To name a few, he serves as a member of the Rowan University Board of Trustees, the Rutgers School of Business Dean’s Leadership Council, Chairman of Il Convivio, Inc., a Board Member of the Salvation Army New Jersey State Advisory Board, and a member of the Philadelphia Business Council for the Consulate General of Italy.

Giordano has received many honors and awards for his work, including the prestigious Order of the Merit of the Italian Republic by the Ambassador of Italy, the Philadelphia Business Hall of Fame Award, the Philadelphia Inquirer’s new ICON Award in Arts and Education, the Philadelphia Music Alliance’s inaugural Platinum Award and a City Council of Philadelphia Citation.
