Frank P. Czekay, a certified public accountant (CPA), was elected president of the Greater Philadelphia chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for the 2018–19 fiscal year.
Czekay is a director of the state and local tax services group of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP in Philadelphia, with over 25 years of experience in serving multistate corporate clients and pass-through entities. An active member of the PICPA, he serves on the State Taxation and the Legislation & Local Taxation committees. In addition to his volunteer leadership with the PICPA, Czekay serves on the Philadelphia Revenue Commissioner’s tax advisory board and as councilman for Medford Township, N.J. A resident of Medford, Czekay received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University, his JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and an LLM from Villanova University.

President-Elect: Luigi Corrado Jr., CPA, is a senior manager in the emerging standards and financial reporting practices of Pine Hill Group in Philadelphia. He is a co-chair of the PICPA Greater Philadelphia chapter schools and Colleges Committee, and was a PICPA Young Leaders Award recipient in 2013. He is also a USA Hockey official, as well as an active golfer, hunter, and fisher. The Lansdale, Pa., resident received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from La Salle University and a master of taxation from Villanova University.
Secretary: Kathleen O. Rue, CPA, is the director of finance at the YWCA of Bucks County. Chair of the PICPA’s Not for Profit Conference Planning Committee, Rue is also on the statewide Not for Profit Committee and Not for Profit Tech Issues Subcommittee. She is also on the Greater Philadelphia chapter Community Involvement Committee. In addition to her PICPA involvement, Rue is treasurer of The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania. Residing in Richboro, Pa., Rue received her bachelor’s degree in science and her master’s degree in business administration and management from Pennsylvania State University.
Treasurer: R. Charles Waring, CPA, is a director with PwC in Philadelphia, specializing in internal audit, compliance and risk management solutions. He is chair of PICPA’s State Legislative Committee and serves on PICPA Council and the CPA-PAC board. A recipient of the PICPA 40 Under 40 award in 2011, Waring received his bachelor’s degree in accountancy and business administration from Villanova University. He lives in Media, Pa.
